 Registered Member #882 Joined: Thu Apr 01 2010, 03:39PMPosts: 12 | GRIND INC. started out in 2001 with the simple purpose of playing the most brutal music possible without neglecting groove and having shitloads of fun. The first demo, “DEFINED TO KILL”, dates back to 2004 and was recorded by the original line up of the band, consisting of Adriano Ricci (Drums), Jochen Pelser (Bass), Jan Pelser (Guitar) and Christoph Mieves (Vocals). Just a few months later the band’s old friend Thomas Strater joined the band as second singer and the band got the chance to play legendary MORBIDE FESTSPIELE. After an insane gig they scored their first record contract with German MORBID RECORDS. The debut album “EXECUTED” was released soon after and was a first step in “defining the art of pure brutality”. Raw death metal vibes, double vokills and the will to destroy defined this record. A year later Jochen Pelser (Bass) left the band and was replaced by Thomas Granzow (Bass), the master of grimaces. Jochen went on to become the band’s official sound guy and continuously delivers the most brutal sound possible. The dudes were hungry to play more shows and so went on to draw bigger circles. Everything developed quickly and the next album “INHALE THE VIOLENCE” (Morbid Records) did not take long to be released (summer 2006). There could not have been a better way to celebrate the release than with a glorious gig on Germany’s old school festival FUCK THE COMMERCE. The record meant an important step for the band as it combined the pure aggression of the first album with more technical and refined songs. Once again, international press and the fast-growing GRIND INC. community seemed to like that death metal shit from Krefeld. In 2008 the band signed a deal with Germany’s TWILIGHT and released their third work of brutality called “SUDDEN STATE OF HATE” in 2008, which got excellent reviews worldwide. To promote this record the band played numerous festivals and shows all over Europe, including gigs with TESTAMENT, NAPALM DEATH, HATE ETERNAL, MISERY INDEX, KRISIUN, CRYPTOPSY, DECREPIT BIRTH, UNMCERCIFUL and LENG ¥ TCHE. In early 2009 the band decided to part ways with Thomas Strater (2ns vokillz) and continued as a four-piece. A new label was found in BASTARDIZED RECORDINGS and the team is currently getting ready for an early 2010 release of the new bastard, to be called “LYNCH AND DISSECT”.
